Are you tired of breaking your back looking for three people to fill three positions? Are your over having to let good, competent musicians and producers go because they’re just not passionate about your art? If your answer is yes, then look no further than Nashville’s new and excited multi-hyphenate, Luke Huff! Luke is a bassist, producer, and songwriter who specializes in energetic tunes and stage presence. With experience in rock, pop, electronic, indie, country, funk, and worship, Luke knows how to serve a song, style, and artist. He strives to make your vision come to life and will accomplish it all with a smile on his face!

Born in Southfield and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Luke Huff knew he was going to be a musician since he was 3 years old, listening to the CDs his mother would play while taking care of him and his brother. At age 8, he was already trying his hand at writing songs, despite having no experience on an instrument. At age 10, he picked up the drums, but it wasn’t until age 13 where he started finding his musical calling. He began playing electric bass as a necessity for his School of Rock program, where he fell in love with serious musicianship and songwriting. At age 14, he picked up FL Studio and started producing electronic and hip-hop-based music. Throughout high school he would build his production chops by producing for himself and his hometown friends. He would also cut his teeth performance-wise in his hometown DIY scene, playing shows in unusual venues, yet always drawing a modest crowd. Now, at age 21, he is finishing his Bachelor’s of Music in Commercial Bass with an emphasis in Music Technology at Belmont University. He is efficient on the Electric Bass, Logic, and FL Studio, and also provides electric guitar, background vocal, and upright bass recording services!

Having caught the public eye under his artist/producer moniker -Glitch Gum- with his feature on CMTEN’s “Never Met”, his official remix of Phoebe Bridger’s “Kyoto”, and his original singles. these, as well as his live bass gigs and his production for artists such as Rebecca Black, Bridey Costello, RIZHA, and Fake Dad, Luke has established that he likes to have fun and think outside the box while engaging audiences with his down-to-earth personality. As a musician, artists have taken a liking to Luke’s attitude, his taste for where to put bass fills in a laid-back, pop structure song, and his determination to serve the song rather than himself. As a producer and songwriter, he prides himself in his efficiency during zoom sessions, his quickness with putting together a track, and his relentless searching for the right idea. Prelude Press’s Dom Vigil notes that Luke has a knack for “successfully merging electronic music, organic instruments, and a vulnerable topline” with his original music. Luke is currently working on rolling out his second album as “Glitch Gum” as well as finishing his degree with a technically-proficient senior recital.

Luke Huff is most looking forward to expanding his catalog on all fronts. He’s looking to add more bass sessions, more co-writing placements, and more original production cuts to his name, as well as continuously expanding his personal discography. He is also ecstatic at the possibility of touring after college. While he does plan to tour for “Glitch Gum” with his band of friends, Luke will also jump at the opportunity to play with a touring outfit of any style! Bottom line: Luke Huff is itching to get out there and make it happen, and help you make it happen as well!

In conclusion, Luke Huff is like a happy dog, wagging his tail at your door, eager to make friends and make music. Not only is he willing to sit down with you and crank out a platinum-level track in a matter of hours, but he is also willing to spend the hours in your band, travelling and playing your set. He’ll even stay with you when you can’t find the right words to say and search for them. He is all about doing it for you and doing it all. No longer do you need to browse countless resumés for all the openings you have in your musical journey. Luke Huff is here to fill them.
